CELEBRATING THE ARTS:

Rotorua Intermediate is excited to present our “TARAWERA” Wearable Arts show. All whānau are invited to come along and experience the beautiful designs created by our students, the historic story line, entertainment from our school band and dance crew “Solex”. So pop the 3rd September into your diary.

SAFER SCHOOL ROADS

From June, the speed limit outside our school will drop to 30km/h during busy drop-off and pick-up times (8:00–9:00am and 2:45–3:45pm). At other times, the normal speed limit will apply.

There will be a mix of electronic and static signs. As soon as the signs are installed, the lower speed limit can be enforced, so please keep an eye out.

Brighton you are a wonderful member of our Pukaki whānau. You consistently demonstrate exceptional respect towards both kaiako and your peers, and your kindness and conscientious nature make you a pleasure to have in our class. You approach every aspect of kura with a positive mindset and enthusiasm - serving as a fabulous role model for others. Keep up the great work!

Yla Kaipara - Te Rore (Tunohopu Whānau)
Great start to the term Yla! You’ve shown great leadership this all year helping lead our waiata for the whānau and continuing to do so in class. You’ve made great progress in all learning areas and are always organised and ready to learn. Keep up the great work Yla!

Imogen Andrews (Te Rangiiwaho Whānau)
Imogen, it has been great to see how hard you are trying in your maths your first week back. It is definitely paying off as you have picked up basic algebra concepts extremely fast. Keep it up!

JaQuelle Edwardson (Hurungaterangi Whānau)
JaQuelle, you have made a fantastic start to Term 3! Your kindness, politeness, and caring nature have truly shone through. You have been an excellent role model and a wonderful friend, helping our new student settle into our learning space with confidence and kindness. Thank you for showing our school values every day—we are so proud of the positive difference you are making!

Hine - you have demonstrated a strong commitment to your learning so far this term! I am blown away by your work ethic, standard of work you produce and your engagement everyday across all learning areas. Johnny Jnr Albert (Te Rangiiwaho Whānau)

MANAAKITANGA SCHOOL & VUNIFORM EXPECTATIONS

New Zealand Traveller Declaration

Are you going overseas for the school holidays?

When you return, you can now complete a digital New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD) before you fly back into New Zealand – replacing the need to fill out a paper declaration card on the plane.

Everyone coming into New Zealand needs to complete an NZTD. You’ll answer questions about your trip and what’s in your bags. You can complete it at a time that suits you, on the NZTD website or by downloading the NZTD app, and submit it 24 hours before your trip back to New Zealand.
