Jayde McGarvey (Pukaki Whānau)
Jayde you have shown a huge improvement in your attitude towards your learning during Term 3. It is great to see you at school each day with a positive attitude. Keep up the awesome mahi!

Evelin Ajo (Tunohopu Whānau)
Evelin you are a role model in our classroom. You consistently focus on your learning, follow the 3Rs, and complete your work to a high standard. We appreciate the effort you make with organising our class Chromebooks as this helps Tunohopu 3 run smoothly. Your commitment to your prefect duties this year has been outstanding. Well done for all of your mahi!

Kobie Stanaway (Te Rangiiwaho Whānau)
Kobie, you have been an awesome role model in our classroom. You have had a great first week back at school and shown your ability to lead and ‘put your best foot forward’ on all occasions. You are a pleasure to have around. Keep up the awesome mahi. Mauri Ora!

Estelle Waretine (Hurungaterangi Whānau)
Estelle, you are a quiet motivated role model for the others within our class and whanau. You go about your day with positivity and a willingness to give things a go. The support you give to your peers is invaluable, and you are always willing to help our kaiako, lending a helping hand. Your mahi toi is incredible, showing your creative side and the passion you have for it. This is then shared with your classmates, often motivating them to strive for better as well. Damiah-Rose Kingi (Te Roro o Te Rangi Whānau)
Tēna koe e Damiah, embracing your ao Māori in all that you do. Seeing you take the opportunity to mihi to our manuhiri Rautāwhiri on our big whanaungatanga day. We appreciate that this was out of your comfort zone but you didn't shy away from getting comfortable with the uncomfortable. Tau kē koe. Hope Cairns-Tanga (Taeotu Whānau / Pathways)
Hope, your interest and skill in all things music have been in evidence throughout the whole year…excelling in Music Performance Pathways during Term Three, and more recently as an assistant ‘judge’ for the many ‘hopeful’ students auditioning for our upcoming RIS HAS GOT TALENT ‘25 later in the term, providing positive, carefully-thought out and honest feedback at all times. Your assistance is certainly appreciated, Hope!

Loisi Tamanitokula (Pukaki Whānau)
Loisi, Pukaki 1 wants to recognise you for what a great member of our class you are. The other students notice how you role model our class and school expectations, especially by being on task and in completing your mahi to a high standard. Penelope Hayward (Tunohopu Whānau)
Penelope, you’ve worked so hard this year! You’re a star role model within Hine Kaha — always on task, completing all your mahi, and helping others with theirs. Thank you for consistently leading by example and taking initiative in class. Your positive attitude and calm, focused energy make such a difference to our class whānau. Keep believing in yourself and continuing to shine, your effort and kindness doesn’t go unnoticed!

Sheene Jack-Kino (Te Rangiiwaho Whānau)
Sheene, you’ve had a great start to your Term 4. I’ve been very impressed with how hard you have been trying in maths and your general attitude towards our whole class sessions. You are always volunteering to answer questions in order to help your classmates gain a greater understanding of our topics. Great work.

Asher Kingston (Hurungaterangi Whānau)
Asher exemplifies the value of manaakitanga through his calm and respectful manner. He is a quiet role model who consistently demonstrates care and kindness, ensuring that others in the class feel welcome, valued, and supported. You are a true asset to our Hurungaterangi whanau, Asher.

Hope, you are such a great role model where you consistently demonstrate our school values. Hope you are very patient and extremely supportive of your partner which is fabulous! I am impressed with the progress of your cooking skills and your excellent organisation where you meet all deadlines, well done. Keep on being awesome!

Suzy, you continue to show what diligent work ethics and continued practice can achieve. You persist in all tasks and are focused on getting it done. This is a great trait to have as you move forward towards high school.

Mili, we as a whānau want to acknowledge what an awesome human you are! You quietly smash your goals and put so much effort into understanding your learning so you can apply it independently. Your daily demonstration of courage and commitment, locking into your mahi and stepping up to lead karakia and waiata,shows true leadership and pride in representing the reo rua space. New Zealand Traveller Declaration

Are you going overseas for the school holidays?

When you return, you can now complete a digital New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD) before you fly back into New Zealand – replacing the need to fill out a paper declaration card on the plane.

Everyone coming into New Zealand needs to complete an NZTD. You’ll answer questions about your trip and what’s in your bags. You can complete it at a time that suits you, on the NZTD website or by downloading the NZTD app, and submit it 24 hours before your trip back to New Zealand.
